Solid solution powder is an important seriese powder for cemented carbide tool production. 
You cannot add TaC, NbC and (Ta,Nb)C directly in youy alloy. Co powder have bad penetration performance to TaC and NbC. It is only can permeate the solid solution of TiC, WC and TaC, NbC. However, If you just mix the WC, TiC, NbC, TaC powder and sinter it to alloy, you will find that it is also very hard to be permeated by Co powder. Therefore, it is very necessary to use the TiC-TaC-WC or TiC-TaC-NbC-WC solid solution powder. 

If you don’t have a high request about the impact resistance, precision and wear resistance of Alloy, you can chose the CK24. CK24 is sort of the saturation solid solution. It is very stable in the process of alloy production, therefore its production techniques is easy to control. However, If you wanna add TaC and NbC in your alloy production, it won’t be suitable to chose the CK24, or the TaC and NbC cannot be worked with WC and TiC, that will make your alloy fragile.
